Our history goes back in 1970 and the foundation of the shipyard MEDITERRANEAN LYKAKOS Bros. G.P, where it was specialised in the design and construction of professional boats for fishing and special duty boats for the navy.

After 30 years of experience, in the year 2000, the foundation of the shipyard Proteus S.A took place, where it specialises at everything mentioned above, plus the construction of pleasure boats from 2.5 m until 12 m. Proteus S.A for 17 years now, is constructing the most efficient, weatherproof and quality boats in the Greek market, with ISO 9001 and CE certification, under strictly controlled conditions at every stage of construction.

The company based on the strong foundation and experience of the last 47 years in the construction of boats, adds in the manufacturing process new materials, pioneering design and new methods of construction. The construction of boats is done with the hand lay-up method and vacuum infusion, in the structure of the boats the materials that are used are: polyester resin, vinelester, epoxy resins, glass fiber reinforced polymers MAT, ROVI, COMBI, BIAXIAL and QUADRAXIAL +/- 90°, +/- 45°, core materials like Coremat, 3D Foam etc. The combination of the materials and the construction technology, results in boats which are stiffer, with greater tension strength, compression strength, shear resistance and impact resistance. At the same time, the total weight of the boats is reduced, resulting in the increase of top speed, acceleration, agility, behaviour in the weather and fuel efficiency.
